GTA 6 Clippers / X guide
Clipping for X
This guide covers what X rewards, the format limits you are working inside, and how to time a clip against a trending topic.
A RUCKUS Clipping site GTA 6 Clippers is not affiliated with or endorsed by Rockstar Games, Rockstar North, Take-Two Interactive or other rightsholders. Grand Theft Auto and all related marks and images belong to their owners. This is an independent clipping network run by fans of the game.
X runs on hours, not days
A TikTok can sit flat for two days and then move. On X that almost never happens. X pushes your post to a slice of your followers within minutes, watches what they do with it, then either widens the audience or stops. Most posts finish most of their distribution inside the first few hours.
So cut faster and stop reworking a clip that is already three hours old. A TikTok tied to a trend still finds people two days later through search. An X post about a topic that stopped trending yesterday reaches almost nobody.
What X counts, and what it only displays
X published part of its ranking code in March 2023. In it a reply counted for far more than a like, and a reply the original poster answered counted for more than any other action. The weights have moved since; the shape has not.
- Replies. X shows a post people argue about to more people. A clip ending on an open question collects replies. A clip ending on a punchline collects likes and stops.
- Quote posts. When someone adds their own take above your clip, X delivers your video to their followers as well as yours and reads the exchange as a post worth pushing.
- Bookmarks. People bookmark a clip they want to send to someone later. X shows bookmark counts publicly now, so you can read them on other people's clips and learn what your niche saves.
X reports post impressions and video views as two separate figures in your analytics panel. The counter under the post is the impression count, which includes everyone who scrolled past without playing anything. A campaign tracker reads video views, always the smaller number, so check both.
Length and format
A standard X account uploads video up to 2 minutes 20 seconds, and Premium subscribers can post longer. You will rarely want the room.
- Length. 30 to 60 seconds for commentary and reaction. Under 20 seconds for a single moment that needs no setup.
- Aspect ratio. 16:9 and 9:16 both play. Landscape suits gameplay and two-person conversations. Vertical takes more height in the timeline and suits one face.
- File. MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio, at 1920x1080 or 1080x1920.
- Captions. X autoplays video muted in the timeline, so burn your captions in.
- Hook. The first two seconds carry the post. The X timeline mixes text, images and video, so your clip competes with posts that take half a second to read.
The post text is half the clip
On TikTok most people treat the caption as a formality. On X readers use the post text to decide whether to play the video at all, and quote posters argue with the text rather than the clip.
Put three things in it, in order. The claim: the line someone would screenshot. The context: who is in the clip and what is happening. The opening: what you want people to reply to, usually a question with a real disagreement inside it. Skip "wait for it" and "nobody is talking about this", because X users have read those thousands of times. Use one hashtag or none, because X surfaces posts through the trending topic and through the words you wrote.
Commentary beats entertainment here
Pure entertainment cuts, the kind that carry TikTok, underperform on X. Take a position instead. A reader can agree with an opinion, correct it or quote it, and all three move a clip.
Why GTA 6 belongs on X
Rockstar releases GTA 6 on consoles on 19 November 2026, and until then Rockstar drops trailers, screenshots and details on a schedule nobody outside Rockstar knows. Every drop behaves the same way on X: the news breaks, the topic trends for a few hours, and a lot of people go looking for someone to react to it.
You do not have to build that distribution. On TikTok you compete with the For You page for a cold audience. On X you compete for a place inside a conversation that already has millions of people pointed at it.
Have three things ready before the next drop: a project file you can open in under a minute, a caption template, and an opinion you already hold. The clippers who do well post inside the first hour with something to say.
Roleplay servers run on PC, and Rockstar has not announced a PC version of GTA 6. Rockstar did buy Cfx.re, which runs FiveM, in 2023, and that purchase is real, but Rockstar has never announced GTA 6 support for Cfx.re or FiveM. Plenty of accounts on X state a roleplay date as though it were confirmed. Do not repeat it in a clip or a caption. A reviewer denies it.
Posting rules and what gets a clip denied
- Disclose the paid relationship at the start. If a campaign pays you to post, say so in the first line of the video and switch on the platform's paid-content tool. X gives you no paid-partnership toggle, unlike TikTok, Instagram and YouTube, so on X write the disclosure into the post text too. This is FTC law, not a house rule, and a reviewer checks it.
- Keep the account public. No tracker can read a protected account, so a reviewer cannot verify what you submit from one.
- No botting and no bought engagement. Campaigns pay on verified views. Bought replies are easy to spot on X because they arrive in the same minute from accounts with no history.
- 18 or over. RUCKUS never asks for an ID or a date of birth, on this platform or any other.
- Nothing is ever sold to you. RUCKUS runs studio and creator services for the buyer who funds the campaign, and invoices that buyer separately at 20% of the approved budget. That fee never comes out of the clipper pot.
Rates are set per campaign and published in the brief. As market context from named third parties, and not as a RUCKUS rate: the largest clipping network publishes a card running $10 to $300 per 100,000 views, and two Drake campaigns live there in September 2026 were posted at $40 and $80 per 100,000, which is $0.40 and $0.80 per 1,000. Entertainment and gaming work generally sits in a $0.20 to $1.00 per 1,000 band. Those are other companies' published numbers. They are not a forecast and not a promise of what you will be paid. A posted rate is a ceiling: clips under the minimum and clips denied in review pay nothing, and any site showing you a monthly total is selling something.
Questions, answered
Does clipping on X work if I have no followers?
You can start from zero, but with no followers X has almost nobody to show the post to first. Replying is how small accounts reach a crowd here: post the clip as a reply under a large account inside a trending topic, and your video sits in a thread people are already reading. A reply is still a post, with its own link and its own analytics. People also find posts through search and through the trending topic, not only through follows.
Do I need to show my face or use my own voice?
No. On X the post text carries your opinion, so you can take a position without appearing on camera or recording a voiceover. X autoplays video muted, so burned captions do more work than narration anyway. Plenty of large clip accounts on X are anonymous, and a reviewer checks the clip and the disclosure, never who you are.
Can I post the same clip on X and TikTok?
Yes. One source cut normally goes out on several platforms, but do not upload the identical file everywhere. Each platform ranks recycled uploads lower when it can tell, and a visible watermark from another app is the easiest tell there is. Re-export per platform, because the aspect ratio, the burned captions and the hook all differ, and the post text does far more work on X than a TikTok caption does.
Will I get a copyright strike for using someone else's footage?
X removes video on a copyright notice from the rights holder, and repeated notices can cost you the account. A streamer owns their stream, so clip people who have said publicly that clipping is allowed, or ask first and keep the message. Adding commentary does not automatically make footage yours to use. When a campaign pays for clips, the brief names the source material you are allowed to pull from, and that permission is the buyer's to give.
